Most, if not all of my achievements are largely credited to my wife. She picked me out of a line up, helped set ambitious goals, and pushed to aim higher and higher at every turn. Thank you Оля Simakova for shaping a great life with me and for being the love of my life.

Multidisciplinary sciences, that's where I began. Advanced degrees. Years of research. Late nights in the lab and at the computer. The writing, the peer reviews, the papers, the patents... it all blurs together after a while. Just another cog in the machine, solving those endless intellectual puzzles. For years I was captivated by the intricate connections in nature — how language of logic and symbols could encode the seemingly endless world around us. Yet science, for all its wonder, often felt isolating, a solitary pursuit of arcane knowledge.

Art speaks a different language. It communicates directly, without the need for explanation. With colors and shapes, art bypasses our rational minds to touch our emotions directly, creating connections that transcend time and culture. And through my art, we have just met...
